Unlocking the power of Champ: Using MetaMask (BNB Chain), PancakeSwap and Binance

MetaMask Browser Extension

MetaMask is a browser plugin accessible as a Chrome extension or a Firefox add-on. Its primary function is that of an Ethereum wallet; however, it can also serve its most common purpose as a BSC/BEP 20 wallet (Binance Smart Chain), and by installing it, you can also gain access to a unique BSC public address, with which you can begin trading, sending, and receiving BSC tokens.

Step 1: Install MetaMask for your browser.

To make a new wallet, you must first install the extension. There are various marketplaces to find it, depending on your browser. Often, browsers have the MetaMask extension in their store, so it’s easy to find, e.g., in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.

Step 2: Register for an account.

To open MetaMask, click the extension icon in the upper-right corner of the browser.

Click Try it now to install the most recent version and stay up-to-date.

Click the Continue button.

You’ll be asked to create a password. Click the “Create” button.

Click the Reveal Seed Phrase button. There will be a 12-word phrase there. This is critical information that should not be stored digitally, so take your time and write it down somewhere safe.

Authenticate your secret phrase by selecting the previously generated phrase in the order it was provided to you. Click the “Confirm” button.

That’s it; you’ve successfully created your MetaMask account. You have just received a new Ethereum wallet address. The next step will be to configure MetaMask with BSC/BEP 20 (Binance Smart Chain).

Step 3: Integrating MetaMask with the Binance Smart Chain: Configuring the wallet

After you’ve created your wallet, you’ll need to fund it. A straightforward method is to withdraw funds from an exchange account, such as Binance, to your Metamask address (the address can be easily copied from the top of your Metamask extension). You should always ensure that you are connected to the correct network (BNB chain on Metamask) and that you are withdrawing to the correct BNB chain network. Funds may be lost if the incorrect network is used.

We need to go into the settings to direct the wallet to Binance Smart Chain nodes.

On the Settings page, we want to find the "Networks" menu.

If the BNB chain is not available to select when you click “Add Network," we’ll need to manually add the Binance Smart Chain Mainnet network by clicking Add Network in the top-right corner.

The parameters to fill in are listed below:

Network Name: Smart Chain

New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

ChainID: 56

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Purchasing Champ on Pancakeswap.finance

Step 1: To link your Metamask wallet to Pancakeswap, go to pancakeswap.finance. The Connect Wallet button is located in the upper right-hand corner. You will be connected after clicking the button and selecting Metamask from the list of wallets. Where the connect button used to be, you should see a wallet icon with the first two and last six characters of the wallet address.

Step 2: Finally, navigate to Trade. Click it and choose Swap from the drop-down menu.

The BNB CHAMP Contract is: 0x7e9AB560d37E62883E882474b096643caB234B65

Step 3: The Champ token can be imported to your list of tokens when the correct Champ contract address is input.

Slippage, or the variation from the expected rate, is set by default to 0.5%. Depending on the token of interest and how congested the network is at the time you want to trade, you may need to increase this.

Remember that you’ll need BNB for gas during the transaction (a very small amount).

Step 4: If everything goes as planned, you’ll notice a highlighted “Swap” button down below. When you click on it, your transaction is completed. Congratulations on successfully purchasing your Champ on PancakeSwap using Metamask!

Signing Up for Binance

As mentioned above, after you’ve created your wallet, you’ll need to fund it.

You can sign up for an account using either the mobile app or the web. Bear in mind that the desktop platform can have a more user-friendly interface.

Step 1: Enter your information and sign in.

Step 2: You’ll need to provide a form of identification for your account to be verified. It is easier to do this on a smartphone because it prompts you to take a photo rather than upload an image.

The account will then be verified, which may take up to 10 days, but it usually takes much less time.

This account can then be used to transfer funds to your MetaMask wallet.

Step 3: To begin your transfer or withdrawal, go to your Binance Fiat and Spot accounts to view your wallet overview. The “Withdraw” button will be visible.

Step 4: Select “Withdraw Crypto” after clicking the withdraw button.

Because you have configured your MetaMask network as a BNB wallet, you can only send BEP20 tokens or BNB to it. When withdrawing from Binance, ensure that the network is a BEP20 network. Other networks may cause a failed transfer, and your cryptocurrency may be lost forever.

Step 5: In this example, we will send Binance Coin (BNB) to MetaMask. Choose BNB as the coin to transfer, and then follow the "add address" steps to add the recipient account.

Step 6: Go to your MetaMask account and click on the balance to find your MetaMask address. You should be able to locate your MetaMask wallet, which usually begins with 0x.

Once you’ve finished entering your address, enter the amount you want to transfer, and the withdraw button will appear.

Step 7: After the blockchain confirmation, click withdraw, and your BNB will be transferred from your wallet to your MetaMask.

Unlike traditional banking, in which fund transfers can take up to 3–5 business days, blockchain transactions typically take a few seconds/minutes, and your BNB balance can be found on your MetaMask.
