Building Upon the Foundation of Ultimate Champions

The CHAMP was initially designed as the in-game token of our first game, Ultimate Champions. However, our vision has expanded to creating an ecosystem of web3 games, and we wanted a token that reflects this broader vision. The UNA token will not only serve as the Ultimate Champions token but will also be integral to all of our upcoming games.

Our trajectory with Ultimate Champions illustrates the strength and dedication of our game development studio and our amazing community. With UNA, we’re upgrading our token and are poised for expansion.

Critical Dates in the UNA Journey

• January 16, 2024–11 AM UTC: Withdrawals and deposits will be temporarily paused on Ultimate Champions, setting the stage for UNA’s introduction.
• January 16, 2024–1 PM UTC: CHAMP liquidity will be removed from exchanges in preparation for the transition.
• January 16, 2024–2 PM UTC: A snapshot of CHAMP holdings in out-of-game wallets will be taken to facilitate the airdrop.
• January 17, 2024–10 AM UTC: Ultimate Champions will undergo a short maintenance to transition in-game CHAMP to UNA. Post-maintenance, gameplay will resume with UNA tokens fully integrated.

If you hold CHAMP in Ultimate Champions, your tokens will transition to UNA seamlessly. You have nothing to do! You will receive 1 UNA for every CHAMP you have in your in-game wallet.

The Path Ahead

The announcement of UNA’s exchange listings will follow, with the timeline subject to strategic planning. Deposits and withdrawals will reopen in tandem with these listings. This meticulous shift from CHAMP to UNA is not only a token upgrade but a strategic leap towards the vast potential of the Unagi ecosystem, especially as the crypto market shows signs of resurgence.

We expect to be able to bring you news about the UNA listing shortly, but at this time we are unable to share any details of the ongoing negotiations with exchanges. Please bear with us during this pivotal phase; we are diligently working to ensure the launch of UNA is a resounding success for our community.

What it means for me, as a user

As we embark on this transition, here’s how it impacts you directly:

From January 16, users will be rewarded with UNA instead of CHAMP in-game so their progression is unaltered.

Users will earn UNA in Leagues and Tournaments and will be able to use it in the Marketplace, Auctions, and Pack Store. However, it won’t be possible to withdraw it.

During this period, which may last a few weeks, it will not be possible to buy or sell UNA inside and outside of Ultimate Champions. Auctions will still take place, and the Marketplace will remain open.

We recognize this temporary pause in deposits and withdrawals may prompt questions. We will do our best to keep this transition period as short as possible and keep the community informed of next steps! Our goal is to have a healthy UNA for everyone’s benefit.

Auctions during the transition

The direct purchase of UNA will be paused briefly. However, the opportunity to engage with our ecosystem remains robust as UNA can still be obtained as in-game rewards and through selling cards on the marketplace.

We will carefully adjust the number of auctions during this time to maintain card prices and market stability. This is a strategic step to safeguard your interests and the ecosystem’s health.

Bonus week

To celebrate our journey towards this new chapter, we’re introducing a special bonus auction period starting now until next week, with an increased cadence of auctions.
